VIENNESE GRAND BALL OF ROME
The Austrian tradition of Viennese Balls has been represented in Italy since 2007 by the prestigious Viennese Grand Ball of Rome. The only ball endorsed by the City of Vienna and the Austrian Embassy to celebrate the romance of the Habsburg tradition worldwide, it is twinned with the famous Vienna Opera Ball (Opernball).
The Viennese Grand Ball of Rome is a democratic ball, designed to offer people in Italy the chance to experience the magical atmosphere of the renowned Viennese ballsโan age-old tradition that has enchanted generations and one of those experiences to enjoy at least once in a lifetime.
An evening of elegance, culture, and solidarity, where each year figures from the jet set, nobility, and international show business gather.
A Viennese-style charity Grand Gala with a live orchestra and a Debutante Ball, whose distinctive elements are charm, glamour, and allure. After more than fifteen successful years, it continues to transport guests with the same magic into an enchanted, timeless world.
Elvia Venosa, creator and artistic director of the Viennese Grand Ball of Rome, together with her daughter Valeria Giardini, has succeeded in reinterpreting an ancient tradition in a modern way and turning it into a meaningful social message: defending every womanโs right to be romantic and a dreamer without being judged as old-fashioned.
